About Us

The Anointed Word Church began July 17, 1983 in the back room of an old “Beer & Billiards Hall” located on N. White Street, with a few believers from different races who were hungering for more of God and His Word. Others began to attend who had no prior religious background or affiliation, while others were from various denominations.

On January 15, 1984 the church moved into the old South Carolina Unemployment building on Dunlap Street. In 1991, the church moved into its newly constructed facilities on its acquired property at 1268 Old Charlotte Road where it is presently located.
